Peacecamp 2007

- please bring one simple every-day-kind-of-thing which can be used to make noises with, which can be used for percussion.

- one simple WHITE T-SHIRT on which you will print the LOGO of peacecamp2007

- a pack of letter-pasta (letter-noodles) in the alphabet of your language, to make alphabet soup on our last day.

- your FAMILY ALBUM, information/documentation about your national, cultural, religious ROOTS, maybe photos of your family, of your town, your country.

- SLEEPING BAG, bedsheet and cushion (the youth hostel does NOT provide any pillows, blankets etc.)
- TOWELS
- any MUSIC-INSTRUMENTyou have and can bring - drums, flutes, snappers, etc.
- funny, unexpensive DECORATION for walls+rooms -
- your favorite SPICES
- your favorite MUSIC. Maybe some music of your own culture/country
- films you like on dvd and maybe a game you like to play
- plenty of GOOD MOOD

CLOTHES: please bring a minimum - we have only little storage in the hostel!!!!!!!! but don't forget to bring:

- houseshoes/slippers
- pyjamas
- underwear
- jeans
- shorts
- light short-sleave-shirts
- 1-2 long sleave shirts
- 1 warm sweater
- sandals
- 1 pair of good waterproof shoes/sneakers
- rain cover or waterproof jacket
- head-cover
- sun-protection
- mosquito-repellent
- swimming suit and spare towel
also:
- toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.
- some pocket-money to spend, just in case ;-)
- ping-pong-racket and balls, if you have some

1. DO always communicate in English, which is the language common to all on the camp

2. DO always address people directly: talk TO not ABOUT somebody

3. DO respect the structure and time-table of peacecamp 2007: DO arrive on time to meals and workshops, DO participate in all the activities

4. DO talk freely about whatever bothers or preoccupies you. DO express your opinions and feelings openly, frankly

5. DO treat others respectfully and with care. DO respect rest- and sleeping-hours

6. DO treat your environment, the space and all the things around you with respect and care. DO keep your space and rooms clean

7. DO NOT hurt, offend or attack others, neither in words nor in acts

8. DO NOT damage or waste things: handle equipment with respect and care. DO leave rooms and equipment as you would like to find it

9. DO NOT pile up more food on your plate than you will eat; DO NOT hoard any food in your rooms. Eat as much as you want but DO NOT waste any food

10. DO try to make the best of this time and take home as much as possible from the days of the camp. DO give your best and DO take the most out of it

Departure of ALL groups by bus, from youth hostel Huetteldorf, at 7 am.

Farewell, check-in: 7.30 - 8.00
Departures by bus (Hungary) and into Vienna (public transport).

Tuesday, July 10th: 15.00 - 22.00: Open day in Reibers with many visitors.

Morning-programme as usual
15.00 - 15.30: opening session, welcome and greeting

15.30 - 17.30: singing - dancing with Hannibal, Maria and Linda

17.45 - 18.45: outdoor-programme with Evelyn Sponer

19 - 20: dinner

20.00 - 22.00 : chilling out with visitors

22.00: packing

8.00 - 8.45: breakfast
9.00 - 10.30 : workshop Rhythm & Movement (Linda, Maria)
10.45 - 12.15: large group (Silvio)

12.30 - 13.30: lunch
13.30 - 14.30 : adults' team meeting (free time for the youth)
15.00 - 16.30 : singing workshop (Hannibal)

16.45 - 18.45 : afternoon-session: outdoor-workshop or other activity (will be notified)

19.00 - 20.00: dinner

20.00 - 21. 30: Family-albums/Culture evenings (accompanying adults of each group with their group)

23.30: curfew (all participants must be back in the hostel)**
24.00: switch-off-lights and silence***.


* It is essential that ALL participants stick to the schedule and appear punctually to ALL workshops.
** For reasons of security it is essential that ALL participants be back in the hostel at 23.30.
*** In Austria we have very strict laws for the protection of rest- and sleep-times. We will be allowed to be "noisy" between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm
but we will have to be QUIET between 10.00 pm and 7.00 am

Unfortunately, we will have NO access to the internet during peacecamp

Unfortunately, most of mobile phones DO NOT WORK in Reibers

Only A1 mobile phones work in Reibers.

Parents who want to send mesages to their daughters/sons may phone Ronny: 0043 676 93 88 169. But unfortunately, we cannot promise that messages will get through to us, as Ronny will be in Vienna most of the time.
